SETUP

Download
Click Download IG Shield. Your browser downloads the Windows installer script.

Run as Administrator
Right-click the downloaded .ps1 file and choose Run with PowerShell, then approve the Windows UAC prompt.

Restart the browsers
Close Chrome and Edge completely, reopen them, and test instagram.com.

Important: this is a local restriction, not an absolute security boundary. A person with Windows Administrator access can change it, and VPNs, proxies, alternate operating systems, or other network paths can bypass local controls.
